The lingerie trend is real right now, with slips and bodysuits becoming a part of everyone’s everyday wardrobe. It’s definitely an ultra feminine, sexy and sultry look that I think anyone can pull off. It’s just about how you balance it out with classic pieces that will tone down that boudoir vibe. I definitely think anyone can wear lingerie every day as a part of their personal style.
There are three key pieces that I think are easy to incorporate into every day wear with the right styling.
1. THE TEDDY
The teddy or bodysuit is all the rage right now and can be found almost everywhere. While some teddy styles you’ll find in lingerie stores will be pretty sheer and risqué, there are tons of options that are a little bit more wearable.
I like to pair my bodysuits with high waisted jeans to give them a more day time feel. These two pieces can be easily dressed up for a night out as well. I used one of my new favorite pairs of high waisted skinnies from Express with this great black lace up teddy. I’m a really big fan of brown, black and blue together so I used brown accessories to pull the look together. My brown moto jacket and playful leopard flats completed the look.

2. THE SLIP
This is such a glamorous pick for a night out but I also think it’s great for an every day vibe as well. It’s all about toning down the satin material and delicate lace details with something more casual. A bomber jacket and lace up flats are a great way to start. Sounds terrible, but stay with me.
This gorgeous green midi slip is one of my favorites when I have plans in the afternoon and the evening because it transitions so well. I threw my well loved black bomber over it and used gold accessories to keep it interesting. Overall this look feels effortless and sexy.
3. THE BUSTIER
I love bustiers. They’re sexy, fun and best of all can be used as a crop top. Plus an added bonus is that because they’re technically a bra style you can skip that layer. Grab your favorite high waisted pants and let’s get to work!
This white lace bustier is so feminine and pretty, I love wearing it during the summer but it’s still a great pick for this time of year as well. I played up the boho vibes by pairing it with these super comfy and super flattering high waisted pants. A denim jacket keeps the look from becoming too over the top. My brown fringe bag was the perfect accessory to tie together this Sunday afternoon look. I’m pretty petite so you can barely see my brown wedges under the pants but they’re a great pick for keeping the outfit easy but still stylish.
