Whether you’re just beginning to enter the makeup world or you are already totally immersed, it’s always awesome to find a good deal. When I first started experimenting with makeup five years ago heading into Sephora to stock up on basics wasn’t an option for me. I started out by googling for discounts, searching for affordable brands and watching every beauty guru on Youtube in hopes to get some insider tips. While my Sephora trips are now a far too regular part of my routine, I still love the brands that I started out with and I use them almost every day. So if you’re looking to find quality products are a great price, then check out these 5 beauty affordable beauty brands:

1. BH COSMETICS

This was the first brand I started purchasing from when I really became passionate about makeup. I was obsessed with Carli Bybel (still am) and she always talked about BH so I had to check it out. It was my first time ordering makeup online and not using drugstore products so I was so excited. I was especially excited to see that they had so many awesome products are such low prices. I’ve made several orders from BH since and I am always pleased with their products. The quality of their makeup products could easily compete with that of most brands you’ll find in Sephora. BH is also where I bought my first makeup brushes. While there are some inconsistencies with their sets, for the most part I’ve found their brushes to be really effective and some of my favorites. Check them out here.

My top 3 favorite products are:

  1. The Pop Art Brush Set ($19)
  2. The Professional Blush Palette ($10)
  3. The Supernova Baked Eyeshadow Palette ($16)

Everyone and their mother knows about ColourPop but if you haven’t bit the bullet and tried their products yet you’re seriously missing out. The reason why everyone is freaking out over ColourPop is because they have the best products with a huge selection at crazy low price points. Their liquid lipsticks are $6 guys. SIX DOLLARS.

I have a huge collection of ColourPop lipsticks and I love the formula. Their Ultra Matte Lips are really comfortable and have amazing lasting power. I also am obsessed with their Ultra Metallic Lips. Their shadows and highlighters are also some of my favorites and rotate throughout my daily routine. Everything is uber pigmented and easy to blend. My favorite thing about ColourPop is how quickly they create and produce new products that are so on trend but also high quality. Plus the packaging is adorable, a great bonus! Visit them here.

If you’re a drugstore makeup fan (raises hand) then you may already know and love NYX. This super affordable line produces some of my favorite every day makeup products that I could not live without. NYX is well known for their amazing butter gloss line. They’re the perfect combination of super creamy, moisturizing and long wearing. Plus they have great color pay off. They also have the best eye crayons and I’m particularly fond of the jumbo pencils. They’re so useful and the lazy girl’s trick to looking like she tried without actually trying. Just one swipe across the lid, blend and you’re done. Find them here.

My top 3 favorite products are:

  1. Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk ($5)
  2. Butter Gloss in Tiramisu ($5)
  3. Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Cherry Skies ($7)

Another drugstore favorite that I can’t get enough of. Not only does Milani have some of the best packaging in the drugstore, they also have some of my all time favorite blushes. If you’re familiar with the brand then you probably already know and love Luminoso, a gorgeous rose gold baked blush. They’re all so pigmented and have a pretty iridescence to them that makes them almost like a highlighter and blush in one. I also really love their lipsticks because their formula is so creamy and glides on effortlessly. Next time you’re in CVS fill your shopping bag with some pretty gold packaging, you’ll thank me later. If you want to order online instead, click here.

My top 3 favorite products are:

  1. Baked Blush in Luminoso ($7)
  2. Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria ($6)
  3. Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose ($9)

5. SIGMA BEAUTY

If you’re looking to up your brush game but don’t want to overspend, then Sigma is the perfect place to go. $50 for one brush is a little ridiculous but so is having brush hairs all of your face. Sigma has the best brushes that are so high quality and are half the price of more expensive options like MAC. While they certainly cost more than some of the options you’ll find on the sites I mentioned above, they will last for years and are truly an investment. I have several sets and love to use them for my face and eyes. The F80 Flat Kabuki is a super well loved foundation brush in the makeup community and a great start to creating your brush collection. They also sell great brush care products that will help you clean and dry your brushes quickly so you don’t have to suffer through a not so fun chore. Get them here.

My top 3 favorite products are:

  1. F35 Tapered Highlighter Brush ($25)
  2. 3DHD Kabuki Brush ($25)
  3. E36 Blending Brush ($15)
