Neutrals aren’t just for your everyday go-to look; they’re timeless shades that will carry your effortlessly from morning til night. All you need is a few minor tweaks to turn your look from day time casual to night out ready.

One of my favorite palettes to use for everyday looks as well as nights out is the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay. I was totally thrilled when I heard that they were dedicating an entire palette to rose gold neutrals. Say whaaaat? Is there anything more feminine and lovely than rose? I don’t just mean the color either, rose anything is super popular and on trend right now. Rose scents, rose skin care, and now rose inspired palettes. When the Naked 3 dropped this last November I had no choice but to pick it up. And I’ve been using it at least twice a week ever since.

After experimenting for months, I have finally created my go-to, easy everyday look with the Naked 3 and it has become my fallback choice when I can’t decide what to do or if I’m in a hurry. Other than the pretty, rose-hued look that this palette creates, my favorite thing about this look is how easily it can transition into an evening appropriate look. Here’s how:

I apply Limit into my crease and take it a little bit above as well, so it can act as my transition color. Then I place Nooner deeper into my crease and blend the two out. Then I apply Trick to my entire lid, and blend again. To darken up the look, I first place Factory in my outer lid/corner and then place Darkside over it. And of course, blend. Finally, I highlight my inner corner and my brow bone with Strange. This is the look itself.

Today was my day off, and I spent most of it in my bed, catching up on Pretty Little Liars (I am REALLY not down with Toby’s hair this season) and then met up with my boyfriend for lunch. So I didn’t go over the top with the rest of my face.

I used my favorite rose blush (I felt like keeping with the theme, clearly) Rockateur by Benefit, and finished my look with the Wet N Wild Natural Blend lip shimmer in 104. It adds a nice wash of pink to my lips without being glittery or extremely pigmented. It also has this lovely minty, tingly feeling which I enjoy.

It ends up looking something like this:

Honestly, you could totally wear this look into the evening. It’s not like the world would end. However, if you’re looking to glam up your day wear with just a few simple steps, here are a few things you can try:

1. Upgrade your lipstick to something more pigmented, but still under the rosy pink category. I went my YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in number 9. It’s a gorgeous rosy, mauvey, pink. And no, I don’t go all Fortune 500 whenever I’m in the mood for a new lipstick. There are cheaper alternatives that I usually gravitate to! The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Sultry is another one of my faves to combine with this eye look.

2. Line your eyes with a liquid or gel liner to intensify your eye makeup and add some drama! Creating a cat eye is always really glamorous and classic for a night out. My personal fave is the They’re Real gel liner pen by Benefit. It’s super dark, super long lasting, and super easy to use!

3. Throw on some lashes! Nothing says “I’m going out” more than falsies. I used the Ardell Glamour false lashes in 105. They’re super long and add a little something something to your eyes. But beware; when I say super long, I mean super long. Like I had to trim mine because I looked like a creepy doll super long.

And there you have it. An amped up version of your favorite everyday look.

Ignore the awkward lighting difference. I actually took the last picture in the evening so the sun had gone down!

Carrying products like oil blotting sheets, makeup setting sprays, concealer, and of course whatever lip product you used that day in your bag will make you totally prepared to freshen up your face if you are going straight out to dinner from work.

Easy, fast, and full proof.

I myself, have enjoyed a quiet night in with a cup of tea and a cheese plate (I am a cheese enthusiast and have four different kinds in my fridge at the moment). Time to wash off all of this makeup and get some rest!
