TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE ($49)

I really wasn’t planning on ever purchasing this palette. It seemed really gimmicky and I was skeptical. But after everyone raved about it I finally decided to give into all the hype and I’m so glad that I did! These shadows are stunning. They’re so easy to blend, work beautifully together and can create a wide range of looks, making it easy to reach for every single day. And the smell is mouthwatering. As a chocolate lover I find myself needing to get a chocolate fix after I use it! So far my two favorite shades are Gilded Ganache (deep, shimmering green in the top left corner) and Marzipan (gorgeous champagne color right below and to the right of Gilded Ganache). I highly recommend this palette, especially for those of you who need something that you can use everyday! There are several great matte shades that work as your transition and crease colors. NUDE DUDE PALETTE BY THE BALM ($36)

2015/01/img_1731.jpg
After loving the original Nude Tude palette I knew I needed to get the second one as soon as I heard about it. The packaging, as always, is so cute and fun. And the size and width is perfect for bringing it along with you on a trip. But, I have to say, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the shadows. They are just not as pigmented as the original palette. I found myself really having to take my time to build up the colors, which is fine, just not always something I want to do when I’m rushing to get ready in the morning. The shades themselves are very pretty and great neutral colors, just not that easy to work with. The website claims that if you add water these shades will turn into liners, which I have yet to experiment with, but it still doesn’t quite make up for the lack of color pay off. If you’re a beginner or are a fan of very minimal, neutral looks you might like this palette. But honestly, if you have a choice I would just stick with the original. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS LIQUID LIPSTICK IN “PURE HOLLYWOOD” ($20)

I can’t even begin to describe how thrilled I was when I heard that these liquid lipsticks were coming out! I ordered Pure Hollywood immediately because I had a feeling it would be one of the most popular. It’s the perfect pinky nude and really looks amazing on everyone. I have a few more on their way in the mail and I can’t wait because these are amazing. They settle on the lips so perfectly and without seeping into any lines or clinging to any dry areas. And they do not move. Seriously, they last forever. I had this one on my lips for 8 hours and it looked exactly the same! I am so impressed, but honestly, not surprised. She is the Queen after all. ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS PERFECT BROW PENCIL ($23)

2015/01/img_1740.jpg
So I recently had a little brow emergency. While trimming them, as I’ve done a million times, I took a little bit too much off the arch. I tried using my Dipbrow Pomeade to fill in the gap but the blonde shade was just making it look like I had dirt under my eyebrow. So I immediately ran into Sephora and searched for a different tool and found it in the Perfect Brow Pencil. I got mine in Medium Brown and it has been a lifesaver. It is precise enough that I can outline my brows perfectly but also creamy enough that I can fill them in as well. I was relieved to have found a solution! NARS AUDACIOUS LIPSTICK IN “AUDREY” ($32)

My infatuation with these lipsticks continues. I found my new favorite red. Audrey is a gorgeous, rusty wine color. It’s not super bright, but is very warm and earthy. I’m absolutely in love with it. I’m dying to pick up more shades, because the formula of these lipsticks is phenomenal. So creamy and easy to apply, but they don’t bleed out. Worth every penny.
