Hello friends!

After almost two years, I finally created and uploaded a new video to my channel. I just woke up and decided that it would be a fun new element to add to my blog and I felt more confident producing content with a camera that takes high quality videos as opposed to just using my laptop which was the case when I first started making youtube videos a few years ago. I just never loved the way they turned out and I’m a big believer in giving people quality over quantity, so I would much rather share a few clear, interesting and compelling videos with you than several low quality, grainy garbage ones.

Alright, now that I’m done with that novel, let’s get into the post!

I would love for you to check out the video and then come back and get all the details here 🙂 and any feedback on the video is definitely welcomed!

I wanted to give you all a few different ideas on what would be a great outfit for date night (or day), especially since it can be overwhelming and leave in front of your overflowing closet thinking “I have NOTHING to wear” (lol in what world?).

So here are my three looks that I think would be perfect for any date! Worse case scenario the date goes terribly and you ditch them and go get Taco Bell with your friends instead (been there):

1. Day Time Adventure

I love me a good day date. Hiking, getting ice cream and strolling through the park or checking out some cool spots in your city (SF has a never ending supply) are all great ways to spend time with your boo while doing something a little bit more laid back.

I created this look with a festival/outdoor concert/roaming the streets on a sunny day vibe in mind. Warning: do not wear this to go hiking you will look like a fool and your date will hate you (just kidding…kind of).

I paired my favorite high waisted distressed black skinny jeans (get them here) with a cool graphic crop top (similar herehere and here) and a chambray top ( get it here) tied around my waist that I could easily layer on if this day date turns into a night date (nice). I’m wearing my newest pair of scrappy gray booties (get them here) to stay within a pretty neutral theme. I would definitely bring this gorgeous Jetsetter backpack from Henri Bendel (get it here)  because its versatility allows you wear it casually as a backpack if you’re going on an adventure or just be basic and use the top handle if that’s your style. I love options! Finally, I threw on an old favorite and added some edge to the look with this black and white moto jacket (similar here and here). If this is too dramatic of a touch for you then feel free to pair it with a more understated black jacket, but if you love fashion and pieces like this are your jam you might as well let your date get use to the fact that you’re always looking fly as hell and will probably be better dressed than them most of the time. Throw on a cute wide brim hat (get it here) and you’re good to go!

2. Dinner & Drinks

If you’re about to get fancy and want to impress your date so much that you’ll get to steal bites of their food without them noticing then this is definitely the look for you.

I think white dresses are really unexpected and a great way to make a statement without being too over the top. This one I got from Nasty Gal a few years ago and it has some really fun cut outs in the front and the back, plus it incorporates the cold shoulder style that’s really big for spring (similar herehere and here). I think an all white outfit would also be really chic and fun, but I love color so I opted to add pops of red to my look. I did this with one of my all time favorite jackets (featured on here a million times) from Express (get the same one with a different texture here) that always added a sophisticated edge to any outfit. I threw on some interesting red heels with black stitching detailing (similar here) and used a simple red cross body to pull the look together (similar here). It makes the look sassy and flirty but still very simple and polished.

3. Something in Between

If you’re not exactly going to be walking through Dolores Park hand in hand or going to a fancy restaurant then this look is perfect for anything in between, like a brunch date on Sunday morning. This look is my personal favorite, mostly because I’m obsessed with this dress. It has some great draping going on and adds a playful touch to your look with the knotted detail (sold out but similar herehere and here). Anything that wraps around or has some sort of knotted look will take your average shirt dress outfit to the next level with a flirty edge! I made the look a little bit more dressed down with this brown moto jacket (similar here) but I think a denim jacket would also look awesome. I added a pop of color  and some structure with one of my new favorite bags for spring (get it here). And my spring style secret to making any dress look more casual? Back at it again with white vans! Sorry, had to. These aren’t vans but white sneakers (get them here) are such a cute way to make any dress or skirt feel more daytime appropriate.

Let me know what your favorite outfit for date night is in the comments! And let me know what you thought of my video 🙂
