Happy Tuesday! This past week was filled with lots of treats and celebrations because it was my birthday Sunday, woo! I turned 26 and got to do it surrounded by (almost) all of my closest friends and family. What more could a girl ask for?

Here’s what I wore this week:

MONDAY

When picking out my outfits for the week, I couldn’t say no to this adorable blue tulle skirt I forgot I had! It’s an oldie from the Lauren Conrad collection for Kohls and I always forget how cute it can be for an everyday look when styled correctly.

I paired it with a funny wine-related t-shirt, a black Moto jacket, and my black converse. It was perfect because that day was hot af (the entire week was) so it felt very breezy and light.

Monday evening was spent at home because I knew the rest of the week would be filled with birthday plans and if I don’t get at least one night to myself a week I lose my mind. Anyone else?

TUESDAY

Apparently, on Tuesday I thought I was above the heat because I for some reason wore jeans 🙂 I am an idiot.

I tied my faded camo t-shirt in a knot as I like to do with most shirts and threw on this fun brown snakeskin jacket over it with some brown booties. I was def channeling major fall vibes on a not so fall feeling day.

WEDNESDAY

Hot damn did things heat up on Wednesday. October in San Francisco is not cute. I was sweating to death all day but I felt very chic in this striped jumpsuit. The tie waist and button-up detailing give it a very sophisticated feel that I felt like went well with my white sandals and yellow tassel earrings. Does anyone else feel compelled to wear dramatic earrings when your hair is super dirty and up in a bun? No, just me?

That night I made the most delicious dinner for a girlfriend and apparently I am a chef now. Who knew?! I’ll be sharing the details and recipe on the blog soon. I think the bottle of sparkling wine is what really made it a successful meal.

THURSDAY

This is when things went from hot to hellish as the temps rose even higher and all of us weak San Franciscans thought we might actually all drop dead from heatstroke. It was a good time.

At least I had some sense and worse this adorable button up tank dress that is super flattering at the waist and, best of all, has huge pockets! The white sandals made another appearance and that pretty hair was thrown into a messy bun almost immediately after I stepped outside. Long hair is both a gift and a curse, ya know? Like walking around with a permanent blanket on your head.

FRIDAY

I was especially excited for the end of the week to come because that meant kicking off the birthday celebrations!

I threw on this cute and comfy green floral jumpsuit I have been wearing like crazy because 1. it hugs in all the right places and 2. it feels very pajama-y.

The white sandals and tassel earrings were back at it again to complete this look that took me all the way from my laptop to my parent’s anniversary dinner later that evening. We got Italian, which is my favorite and so began my weekend of excessive eating and drinking.

SATURDAY

What a truly lovely day. My sweet cousin treated me to a spa day for my birthday which was so relaxing. I walked out of there with the skin of a newborn baby and I’ve been glowing ever since.

That evening I got to put on a cute new dress and get dolled up for a romantic birthday dinner date 😀 yeah, you read that right. Ya girl had a date!

The wonderful man I’m dating surprised me and took me to the most delicious dinner at Boulevard which I later found out is Beyonce’s favorite restaurant in San Francisco. So now I am one thing in common with the Queen!

The service and the food were both so wonderful (almost as wonderful as my cute date) and I left very happy I chose a looser dress because I was full af afterward. Worth it!

SUNDAY (BIRTHDAY!)

This was hands down my favorite look of the week! I wore this flirty little number to my birthday brunch with a bunch of my sweet friends. It’s great for hugging the curves and felt very chic and playful. Those white sandals really squirmed their way into my life this week and I can’t say I’m mad about it. They’re comfortable and cute, what more could I ask for?

I am now officially trying to get my life back in order after several days of drinking and eating recklessly (the best) and allowing some of my responsibilities to fall to the wayside. I always love my birthday but I also really love my routine so I’m happy to be getting back to business.
