I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going for with this one and what I intended to be some sort of warrior, turned into something little bit closer to Dragon Tales. I added bloody wounds because…why not? I based this off of a really cool picture I found on Pinterest, and just tweaked it to make it my own. Find it here: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/A_9JhAAQwIABeztQ9DsAAAA/

I used the NYX jumbo pencil in Milk for a white base where I wanted to put any color. I used my fingers to spread an even layer across the top half of my face. I intensified my contour and then just started adding color. I wanted it to look like someone had just used their fingers to smear paint all over their face, so I used a fluffy brush to place different colored eye shadows over the white base. I used one of the 150 color shadow palettes from BH cosmetics for the yellow and my Urban Decay Electric palette for the purple and pinks. I used both to create an orange shade in between the yellow and the purple.

I used a black eye liner to cover my lid and blended it out with some dark purples and blues and then just let the smudgy black liner due its thing under my eye.

I extended the black liner down my nose and flicked it out. Then I went back over my forehead and under my eye with a thin white eye liner to create some cool line work and dots. Then I used my silver Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner to go over the white lines to make the look a little bit funner.

I used a purple eye liner to line my lips and then filled it in with Heroine by MAC and Up the Amp in the middle, also by MAC, to create a fun ombré lip.

Finally (my favorite part) I used an angled brush to make black lines down my lip, the side of my face and my neck and then used a dark cool toned brown to blend out the black lines and to create depth for my wounds. I used a little bit of red shadow over the wounds and finally squeezed some fake blood (pick it up at any Halloween store) over them.

And there you go! Your very own dragon princess warrior costume! This look is great because it’s still really interesting and fun, but it doesn’t dominant the bottom half of your face so it’s less high maintenance. If you’re like me and plan on consuming copious amounts of alcohol on Halloween then this will be important for you. But hey, everyone has different priorities!

With just a few days to go, do you know what you’re going to be for Halloween?

Xoxo,

She
