Is there anything  better than tricking everyone into thinking you’re wearing real pants when in reality you’re only one step away from a onesie and bunny slippers? No? Didn’t think so.

While jeans are a great way to achieve a casual but chic off-duty look, they’re not always the most comfortable choice (especially after indulging in a few tacos).

The solution? Throw on some comfy, high waisted flare pants with a fun print and you’ll fool everyone into thinking that you actually tried that morning.

These flare pants from Express (on sale!) are so ridiculously comfortable and flattering I wish I could re-wear them every day. The vertical lines make them elongate my legs and appear taller and thinner, while still showing off my curves. I get nothing but compliments every time I wear them! Plus on this day in particular I got a pedicure and they were perfect because they’re so loose at the ankles that I rolled them up with ease! My only qualm is that they are quite long and still graze the ground even with 4-inch wedges. Sign, can’t win em’ all.

I paired the eye catching geo print with a contradicting pattern and texture in this cream colored, lace crop top (old, but I linked a really similar and affordable option!). My denim jacket was the perfect final layer to keep me warm with the temperatures finally (kind of) dropping.

Accessories were of course my go-to gold basics from Henri Bendel and a cute velvet bow choker from Forever 21. My sunglasses were $10 from a random woman on the street in NYC and my fringe tote in an oldie from a few years ago.

My number one tip for trying without trying is to mix and match different prints and textures to make the look more interesting and compelling!

What do you wear on your days off? Tell me in the comments!

Xoxo,

She

My go-to off duty look can be described as athleisure. I usually wear some type of legging or athletic pant with a v-neck slouchy tee, a chambray or army shirt tied around my waist and sneakers.

Thank you so much! I love athleisure too! Sneakers are usually my go to 🙂
