I can say with confidence that Urban Decay is one of my favorite beauty brands. From the beginning of my makeup obsession it has always been the brand I had to splurge on when a new palette was released, even if that meant living off of the dollar menu for a few weeks (not really complaining).

To this day as soon as I see a new release for UD I immediately visit their site and order it, no questions asked. The Naked Ultimate Basics palette was no different.

This palette is gorgeous with 12 earthy, warm, matte shadows that are essential to any eye look, no matter how bold or subtle.

As a girl who loves a little shimmer, even I can appreciate the classic sophistication of a good all-business matte palette. And this one does not disappoint.

Nude and Commando have been living in my crease since I received the palette and Extra Bitter is the perfect rusty shade to add definition and warmth to your everyday eye look. A swipe of Blow over your lid and a smudge of Lethal on your lash line and you’re good to go!

The formula is, as always, creamy, blendable and perfectly pigmented. Very comparable to my other well–loved all matte palette, the Tartelette palette, except definitely on the warmer end of the spectrum.

Pick this beauty up here!

What’s your favorite matte eye shadow palette? Tell me in the comments!

Xoxo,

Thank you for the review! I saw it at Sephora and was contemplating between this one and Modern Renaissance…but it looks like I’ll have to get both! 😛
Would you to see you do a tutorial!
As always, keep up the amazing work!

Thanks Maryanne! They’re definitely both beautiful palettes, I wouldn’t be able to choose either! 🙂
