I may or may not have indulged in some serious retail therapy. 80% of my bed room floor is covered in shopping bags which makes me feel both unabashedly proud and deeply disappointed in my lack of self control. Sigh.

The good news? I have this awesome grungy, coffee shop/starving artist goodness here for you. You’re welcome.

I was so pumped to find such affordable and unique pieces at Zara on a shopping trip last week with some girlfriends. This metallic bomber jacket is gorgeous and so on trend for the fall season. It’s also very lightweight so easy to layer and it doesn’t leave glitter all on your clothes and furniture. Woo!

I layered it over this really interesting graphic tank and tulle t-shirt combo. This was only $25! It’s so intricate and different than anything I have in my wardrobe, which meant I had to have it.

I wanted to give it some shape and structure so I threw on my favorite gold metallic braided belt from HM which I attempt to incorporate into every outfit I wear, every day, always. Judge me.

I kept this look very cool girl-esque and contradicted the billowing tulle top with these black moto leggings that are equal parts badass and comfy.

I wanted to bring out the warm toned colors in the graphic tank with a pop of brown from these fall ready brown booties that I have to force myself not to wear daily.

Finally, I am so thrilled that I was able to add this gorgeous bright red Henri Bendel briefcase to my collection. I’ve had my eyes on this for months but just wasn’t sure which color to go with and am so happy with my choice! This red is the perfect pop of color to add to any outfit and while I’m not usually a fan of such oversized bags (#smallgirllife) I am so tired of hauling my laptop around in a reusable shopping bag. Now I can play the part of the tortured writer in style!

Also I just got my haircut and am feeling these easy, messy layers. The lazy girl in me (which is a big part of me) hates styling my hair so the more layers that do the job for me the better!

What’s your favorite showstopping piece?

Xoxo,

She
