Am I the only person with stacks of books just hanging out fucking everywhere in their apartment?! I have soooo many books I want to read and I just never seem to get to it. But not anymore, not in 2019!

I was always a big reader growing up but as you become adult other things like you know, jobs and housework become priorities and your reading time because more and more infrequent. Also, admittedly, I do dedicate a lot of my spare time to watching The Great British Baking Show because it is the only pure thing left in this world but I’m almost done binging it so then I will have plenty of reading time! (ish)

In my 25th year bucket list post (read here) I set a goal to read one book a month in my 25th year and so far I’m 1/2 🙁 but to make up for it I will be reading two during a month at some point. I would love any recommendations you have in the comments below! I personally enjoy murder mysteries, true crime stories, girl boss autobiographies, business/blogging how-to books, self-help books (the ones that aren’t cheesy af) and will even throw in a couple sappy romance novels!

China Rich Girlfriend -Kevin Kwan

After reading the first book in the trilogy and seeing the movie (it was gorgeous) I was so excited to receive the second book as a Christmas gift from a friend. It is waiting patiently on my nightstand as I type this and will be my book for February!

Girl, Stop Apologizing -Rachel Hollis

Loved loved loved her first book, Girl, Wash Your Face and highly recommend it if you’re looking to get all sorts of motivated to make shit happen. Can’t wait to read her second when it’s released on March 12! I will most likely download it on Audible because I love listening to motivational books vs. just reading. Anyone else?

Final Girls -Riley Sager

I have already started this thriller and do really like it, it’s just taking a bit for it to really get interesting. But I’m committed to finishing it this month! It’s pretty chilling and a great read if you love murder mystery/thrillers.

Made For Love -Alissa Nutting

Another book already sitting on my nightstand that I began, liked, but never finished. Another creepy thriller that is truly a bizarre story but definitely interesting! I will be tackling this in March as well!

Anyone else OBSESSED with Mindy Kaling? The Mindy Project is definitely in my top 5 favorite shows of all time. She’s hysterical and witty and I can’t wait to read her book and spend my days cracking up non-stop.

I listened to her first book, Rich Bitch, on audible and truly credit it for being one of the biggest resources that helped me take control of my finances. She’s funny and tough and curses which I’m into!

Oh my gawwwwdddd I can’t WAIT for this book to be released in May! I am ADDICTED to the My Favorite Murder podcast (obviously since I’ve already mentioned it once) and am so thrilled Karen and Georgia wrote a book! I literally listen to their show everyday and actually have murdery nightmares as a result but don’t care because they’re just that good. Funny and smart and so relatable.
