cozy holiday party outfit

We all want to get into the holiday spirit but we don’t all want to look like a walking Hallmark Channel Original Movie. Is there not a way to be festive af without looking ridiculous?

Well, my friends, it’s all about balancing out your merry pops of color with chic and on-trend pieces that keep your outfit looking intentional and pulled together instead of mistletoe mess.

This is probably my favorite look from everything I’ve pulled together for holiday content because A) love leopard B) love pops of color and C) love a good ruffle. Who doesn’t?

I added this cozy (and super soft) cold shoulder ruffle sweater to my cart during the 50% off sale at Express so fast that I’m pretty sure my index finger is still recovering. It’s bright and festive with trendy details like cute cutouts, ruffles, and loose sleeves.

To add some contrasting texture and tone down the holiday cheer I tucked this chunky sweater into this flattering faux leather mini skirt from Zara. I love anything with a tie or lace detailing so you know this skirt gets a lot of wear. This helps give the sweater shape so I don’t look like a sunburnt potato (lol I definitely think that joke was funnier than it actually is). Alternatively, you could also wear the sweater loose with black leather leggings to achieve the same chic look but without the tucking.

Red and leopard were literally meant to be together so obviously, I threw on my new favorite booties (SO inexpensive, get them here or shop below!) to make the look complete. They give me some height (much needed) and make this look sassy and sophisticated. Nothing like a good print to keep things interesting.

These glasses were $10 from a street vendor in NYC who I’m 99% sure had a glass eye. I linked some super similar (and cute!) options below!

I almost threw on some dramatic, dangly statement earrings but again, I think the sweater is enough of a head turner. I kept things simple with black square studs.

Finally, I wanted to add some metallic (I’m extra) and reached for my Henri Bendel Mini Satchel. It’s an oldie but I linked similar options below with a variety of pricing options.

What’s your go-to holiday look? Tell me in the comments!

Xoxo,

She
